The Writers' Retreat concentrates on writers intending to publish or have their work produced. This emphasis on commerciality is the distinguishing characteristic of our writing workshops. Each is specifically designed for serious-minded writers planning to make writing a career or, at least, a profitable venture. Participants should expect to work intensively, spending as much as 6-7 hours a day with the group. The Writers' Retreat workshops are not "working vacations"; they are intended to advance your project. Our goal is that you leave with a sense of accomplishment. Workshops are held in one of the The Writers' Retreats in Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico and the United States. Participants may extend their stay at the Retreat.

Costs, Registration Information and Accommodations

Registration is accepted on a first-reserved basis. Tuition includes workshop material/hand outs and is payable by personal check. Written confirmation is sent upon receipt of payment with detailed information on what to bring and what to expect.

Accommodations: Not included in the tuition.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Payment: Full tuition payment is due at time of registration. Cancellations: If at least 60 days prior to workshop, tuition will be refunded less $50 administrative fee. Cancellations under 60 days will not receive a refund.

The Writers Retreat reserves the right to cancel the workshop, in which case all payments will be refunded.

Trip cancellation / travel insurance is strongly advised and can be obtained through your travel agent.
